R.C. 2950.15 and Sex Offender Registration Termination
In 2007, the Ohio State Legislature passed the Adam Walsh Act. This changed sex offender sentencing in Ohio. All of the discretion regarding sex offender reporting was taken away from the judges, and people were placed in a category simply by their crimes.
